Rumor Mills up and Running, iPhone 5 to feature Edge to Edge Screen

A Chinese manufacturer has the Apple rumor sites buzzing, although it’s clear that some Apple news sites will jump all over any story with the words “Apple” in it. Alibaba.com is responsible for iPhone leaks in the past and it looks like their at it again. Rumors are surfacing that the “iPhone 5G” will have an edge to edge display.

This information conflicts with an earlier report from analyst Peter Misek “We believe the likelihood of the iPhone 5 launch in September including LTE [Long-Term Evolution] is now remote” “According to our industry checks, the device should be called iPhone 4S and include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ [Evolved High-Speed Packet Access] support.”

It looks as if we can only state the obvious and probable improvements but the Apple fans are all over the place with the name of the next iPhone.

iPhone 5 and iPhone Nano Rumor Overload

It’s been suspected for some time that Apple may be working on a lower-cost iPhone. This could be achieved by cheaper hardware and inner components without sacrificing the outer design and size. Apple Insider reports that Avian Securities has word that Apple is not only considering a low-cost iPhone but have it on roadmap. Some speculate that this alternate iPhone could hit the market late 2011 or early 2012.

The iPhone 5 is busy with rumors as well, the same security company claims that the iPhone 5 will start production in September while other sources in the far east suggest that production will start soon.  Sony CEO indicated that the 8-megapixel Sony Exmor R camera, Sony’s best smartphone camera, would be used in the iPhone 5.
