Better Gaming with an iPhone Game Controller

Casual games are fun and work great on the iPhone 4 but some just get the urge to have a little more “involved” gaming experience. The iControlPad gives you the ability to hold a device as if it were a traditional video game controller.

Although the cost is a bit steep ($75), if you’re looking to play shooters or racing games, this add-on is something to seriously consider. iControlPad fits the iPhone 4 perfectly but it also works with a slew of other smartphones like the iPhone 3, iPhone 3G, iPhone, iPhone 3GS, iPhone4, iPod touch (some require padding), Motorola Backflip (needs padding), Lg Optimus S, Lg Ally, Blackberry Touch, Samsung Intercept (may require adjustment), HTC Dream, T-Mobile G1, Era G1.

The iPhone 5 Might Ditch the Home Button

When iOS 4.3 releases, you’ll be able to sweeps your fingers to the left or right to instantly switch to ther applications you have running.

Another sweet gesture is the ability to close your fingers inwards in order to return the the homescreen. Although these gestures appear to only be featured on the iPad, it’s likely that Apple will implement similar gestures on the iPhone as well.

In Apple’s infinite quest for simplicity and usability, the ‘home’ button may soon be a thing of the past as these new gestures take its place. What do you think? Will Apple do away with the ‘home’ button in the iPhone 5 and iPad 2? Let us know. Check out the video below for a demo of the new features.

Should you Wait for the Verizon iPhone 4 or iPhone 5?

Verizon is holding an event in New York City, many invitations went out to media sources recently that confirm this. The rumor is that Verizon will finally announce iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless. Assuming that this is the case, you’ll be sure to have big lines at your local Verizon Wireless locations.

The question is: Should you get the Verizon iPhone or wait for Apple to announce and release the iPhone 5? Lets think about this.. Apple has a track record of release the next-gen iPhone in June-July. There’s no reason why we should doubt that it will happen the same time this year. If you sign that contract too quickly, you might regret it within a few month. It’s up to you.

The time is probably better spent hunting down iPhone 4 contests and sweepstakes rather than signing on the dotted line and shelling out the cost of the iPhone plus taxes, fees and activation.
